Dreams of Being a Cowboy? Try Horseback Riding Lessons

One thing every gentleman should know how to do is to ride a horse. Learning to ride a horse may seem out of place in today’s high-tech world, but it has many benefits, both physically, emotionally, and socially.

At one point in his life, every man has dreams of being a cowboy. A major component of the cowboy mystique is his ability to ride and handle horses. It’s also a bit of a test of one’s manhood: if you can exert your will over a 1,000-pound animal, it certainly will be a boost to your morale.

I never had the opportunity to take horseback riding lessons as a boy, but it was always on my list of things I’d like to accomplish. My wife was an avid rider as a girl, and even taught riding lessons as a teen. She was able to help me learn quite a bit about horses, and also to describe the basics of horseback riding.

But what really made a huge difference for me was an e-book I found, “Horseback Riding: The Complete Beginner’s Guide.” This book was written by and edited by two certified horse riding instructors with over 45 years of combined experience. They put not only their knowledge and experience into it but their heart as well. They gently take you through each area you need to discover to fully understand horses, how to control them and how to ride properly.

It’s a great way to gain confidence and understanding before you even step foot in a riding stable. It can also potentially save you a few hundred dollars in basic riding instruction, since you’ll be starting at a level above the basics.

This horseback riding guide would also make a great gift for your son or daughter interested in taking riding lessons. It would help them advance more quickly in their studies, and may even convince them riding is not right for them. Either way, getting this book for them will make you a hero, and could potentially save you some money too.
